Where are the other 3 threads then! Gong almost has more parawing models than the whole rest of the industry combined!

The prices are where they should be (less than wings).

Yeah. $300-$500 or so is WAY more reasonable. Gives us an idea of the markup on the others.

Compelling prices. Competent guys I know who recently bought kit from Gong (fools and wings) are very happy with it.
I'll keep an eye on the reviews

Would almost be tempted to buy the highest performance double skin model to go upwind with the paddle on my back. Pack it down while sitting, into the backpack. Still going to be lighter than the lightest inflatable. My backpack ends up weighing over 4Kg with a wet wing in it

Plus you have a bailout option without needing a pump!

Really excited about the double skin models. Looking at the pics they have up it looks like they're riding regular wing boards instead of specialty DW boards. I feel like these might be checking the box for "A better wing ding than a wing ding". Maybe something I can get a session on my prone board with.

Honestly ditching the pump and having something easy to paddle in when the wind dies is a huge appeal.
Unsure I'd want to give up being able to douse it downwind though.

I like the look of the Neutra.

Apparently 20% import duties if your order ? $1000. Somethign to keep in mind.

You won't have to pay VAT though so it should be close to evening out I would think?

Yup, just got hit with this today when importing some Gong gear. Still worthwhile... but if you know someone heading to Europe for holiday, that's your move.

keep your Gong order under $800 to avoid the US import duty tax. Different items have different HS codes (import duty), but US customs charge based on the first line on your invoice -- there is a site for looking them up. When building your shopping cart, make the first item some small carbon part or a screw. US Customs supply documentation on how they apply the tax. I've figured this out together with Gong customer service after 3 gong shipments over two years that were over 800 each. Not paying VAT evens out what we pay for shipping from France.

The Gong Lowkite Plus is built from heavy canopy ripstop, way heavier than any other parawing manufacturer 54g compared to most who are using 32g. This means packing away with anything larger than a 3 mtr will be a problem, keep this in mind if your planning to packdown and stow for downwind.
