i've been on GoFoil masts for 2 years now, this is my third as each time I've gone longer, now 83cms, there are cracks in the paint on the bottom of the mast plate (as indicated in my excellent drawing
), I've even seen some on sale where this is even more apparent, it appears to have the form of the mast itself and I am wondering if the mast is separating from the plate, if this is a known issue or if this is just the paint chipping because of the chemical bond or some other reason
If anyone has any advice fire away please

A photo would be more useful. On their warranty page Gofoil say "spider cracks" are not covered and they're just cosmetic.]
I remember seeing a thread on some forum saying the same thing. Google "gofoil cracks" and have a read.
There's also video of Alex Aguera saying Gofoil are built to be tough. ride'em hard and take pride in the battle scars.
I've got hundreds of hours on my Gofoil gear with zero cracks despite a bad habit of misjudging the depth of the sand bar at the end of a session.
Gorgo good to know, I generally feel GF is good tough stuff, but I've seen this issue on other foils and that's when it became apparent to me. I'll keep an eye on it for now, but like you say it is mainly cosmetic but it is obviously linked to the construction somehow - hence the shape.
