I'd say the hype is real. Surprisingly easy foil. Easy take-off, great glide and low stall speed all things considered.
Even more zippy with the FTS14.5 stab, great combo. Looking forward to try it with the 12.5 stab.

Easy gybe right out of the gate no tuning needed going back to back with the RS1150.

Worked perfect on both Fanatic Sky Style 4'11 and SlingShot Wing Raider 4'10. Two very different board styles.
I was skeptic about trying it with the Wing Raider, not a the ideal board for HA foils but take off was fairly easy.
With 3.5m F-one Strike V2 on a 13-18knots for my 87kg.

It's definitely not the fastest for this size category, I have bigger foils that will easily challenge it, but it's a good
balance of features. Still a lot of lift and front foot pressure.

The new finish looks a lot better imo but it does not hold well against scratches.

Overall good job by GoFoil, bringing another accessible small High Aspect foil to the market.

I've also been using the 850 with the 14.5L tail and top speeds are pretty much identical to the 1150 / 14.5L combo for me. Better acceleration and a generally more efficient feel with the 850 but thought it would be faster. Haven't really pushed it in flat water yet though.

Just looking at it from the side you can see the 14.5L is the limiting factor now (only for speed). The fixed tails handle beautifully but it would be fun to experiment with some higher AR flatter tails.

If you get a ride on the 1075 Burchas I'd be interested to here about it

From Alex Aguera on the FB GoFoil Riders group

"Here is some Info on the new RS 850 and RS1075!
First you will notice they are heavier and slightly more expensive than the other Go Foil wings for the Sq Cm area.
The reason for both is that there is much more carbon fiber in these wings to keep them stiff with the thinner profiles.
Both are thin and fast.
The RS 850 is very high aspect and glides very well. Tomo and Dylan really likes it on their prone boards as they cAn pump around a lot.. Tomo really likes the way it turns too. I really like it luffing downwind with ease on my smaller wing boards.
The RS 1075 is very thin as well but has a bigger chord and a little more bend in the profile allowing it turn unreal!
I prefer this wing when I am turning on waves or racing around. I got second place in the Pro Course race in the Gorge on this wing with the 12.5"FTL.
As for Downwind paddling, the RS1075 seems to have a faster overall speed downwind on the good days here in Maui. Dave Kalama , Jeremy Riggs, and Tomo love the RS1075 for epic Downwind SUP foiling.
Probably our fastest overall for the DW paddling. The RS850 according to Tomo is faster in Max speed but so far is not as fast in overage avg speed."
