Wow no wind again on this side of the country and I don't feel like the 2.5 hour drive to go the other side
I initiated on a Kai stab which always felt under control and then moved to an FTS 14.5 and was thinking oh this will be twitchy,
no not at all, I am finding it flies more stable than the Kai but I need to move the mast a little further forward in the box to keep the board nose level. It feels really stable and under control, I found the pumping cadence to be shorter and higher frequency and haven't really put in the time to assess if turning is any different.
The Kai stab is really low cost right now so that is definitely the budget option, the FTS as for me it does not feel twitchy in pitch control, on the contrary it feels really stable and responsive to my input - I'm liking it a lot but it was 4 times the price of the Kai
As for speed and glide there hasn't been enough wind yet to get a feel for any difference, always just foiling on the edge of stalling
