Currently riding the GL210 with the 17.5" flip tip tail.
It's been a full season on this now and I have now reached full potential and want to move on. What would a 2 foil quiver consist off?
Majority of wing conditions on offer range from 10 - 30 knot Gulf water wind chop to riding the swells of the SA West Coast.
Feel like the RS1150 would be the best 20 knot + option 1000 possibly to small?
What would the lighter wind Foil option be. RS 1300 maybe too close a match. GT 1400? or 2200?
Unfortunately not in a position to test ride.
Thanks EB

Weight and tails make a significant difference. I am 105kg and can get up in light wind on the RS1150 with the 14.5 which is a great combo. A quiver killer. Get that and see how you go, not sure about the GL210 but would that work with the FTS14.5 as a super light wind fall back

Tried the Fts 14.5 + GL210 combo last night in 25 knots. A big improvement for sure. Much better glide. Tried it in the morning in 14knots and that was no go.
Also getting to the lighter end of the season, so right now looking for increasing my ride time.
Cheers Hilly.
I'm 105kg, only have FTS14.5 tail, but ride RS1000 ,RS1150 ,GT1250, GT1400, just flat water choppy harbour winging, 95L board
Over 20+knots the RS1000 is my favourite
If it's gusting 18-22 RS1150
If it's 15-20 GT1250
rest is GT1400
RS1150 is a lot to hold down in high wind 25+ knots too winging.
To only choose 2....depends on where the majority of time the wind is in your region, if it's solid >20kn definitely the RS1000
If your region is light a lot like 10-12knots then the GT1400.
If it is mainly 15-20 then RS11150
Somedays I could've used the RS1150, but choose the GT1250 and it made the session easier, other days the inverse.
They are all good foils and each has an application.
GT1400 is a lot of foil to hold down approaching 20knots, doable yes, GT1250 easier
Gone with the RS1000 + RS1300.
Looks like the season will deliver a few more 20 knot days to get the 1000 dialed in.

Here's hoping for some Elliston Easter Eggs and 15 knots. The 1300 is something to get used to.
Possibly to windy at 20 - 25 with my 4m yesterday. Just had to break in the new toy.![]()

Im 100 kg and the RS 1000 is my one foil quiver for prone and ding. I've got an 1150 I just don't use it anymore. Now one caveat I'm a good prone foiler so I'm a pump machine. I can and do use that to get out of any and all situations.
With the 1000 and a 5m wing I'm good down to 15 kts.
I like the fast stuff .. more speed = more power = more speed. so you can go smaller than you think. I wouldn't touch the GT series if you paid me. Start with the 1150 and see if you want more top end or more bottom end, then get the 1300 or 1000 accordingly.
I would NOT get a 1000 and 1300. It's too big of
a jump in span. I don't know why GF puts them in the same range. 1150 is a regular high aspect. 1300 is an extreme span glider/pumper. 1000 is a fast mid aspect. The 1300 and 1000 are just too different without having the 1150 to bridge the gap.
I'm 85kg. Mix it up between 1000 and 1150 mainly.
1000 go to for wing (15knots+). My Favourite wing.
1150 light wind wing, SupFoil and DW Sup (high wind). The everyday allrounder.
1300 tried it SUP DW - fast glider and pumper, but too big to wing.
2200 my teaching wing, dock starter, 5-10knot wing, micro surf, e foil assist.
Tail FTL14, mast 83cm. Christmas wish list - RS850 by circa 90cm wide please Mr GoFoil.

I'm DYING for the RS 850 but iinstead we're getting a GT 1750! 850 won't be out till October atleast.
Speed > Power > Speed .... I want the 850 for small waves. Having tried the Lift 120 i can confidently say the 850 will ride "Bigger" than the 1000
I just got on the go foil wagon after a demo of my mates gear got a 90 mast rs1150 ,14.5 ftl stabiliser and demoing a rs1300
Also got a long and short pedestal coming from over east and just gotta sort out what stabilisers to get for them and build a quiver from there I'm 112kg
