Ok Guys, Been using the Gath Neo for a couple of seasons, and now in the summer my eyes are suffering, tried to put a pair of notmal sunglasses on but found them really uncomfortable. There is no way I am giving up on the Gath as its the best helmet for me. You guys got any ideas or what do you use? ![]()
I cut a little slot in the helmet padding in the position of the sunglasses arms. All comfortable now.

Yup I guess that could work, I guess ??
I've tried many different styles of glasses with my Gath. and the Ombraz are the very best. Very light, and surprisingly stay in place quite well. I have them in prescription.

Thanks for reply, never heard of Ombraz, will have to look in to them.

What about water? Doesn't water stick to the lenses and then make it hard to see?

You get used to it, if you manage to ignore the drops for a few sessions. Coating or wax can also help some to reduce the problem. It's only a real issue if you go out in really dry conditions that cause the droplets on glasses to dry out quickly, leaving salt spots on the glasses. I had that happen on warm NW days in Texas where the humidity was around 15%. It did not help that the water in the Laguna Madre is hypersaline. But most days, I don't notice the water on the lenses at all.
I can get "hard water" spots that won't wash out, and since mine are prescription and expensive I'm careful to dry them each time. Happens to all of the glasses I've tried, but mostly from sailing Sherman Island. I haven't had any fogging or visibility issues with the Ombraz. They are so light and let air flow nicely that I forget I'm wearing them.
