Anyone got any tips/videos for making a carbon boom for duotone v1 wing
I might be wrong here but the v1 boom fits the v2 so the v2 mod will work for v1 too. See

see DWFs three videos in that link or on YouTube. I made 3 of these booms.

Thx mate did you find it a lot better with a carbon boom
Yep; the head is not a lot different due to the curved plastic bit but in my view you really notice it at the mid-tail section. It is sealed so doesn't sink as readily but of course being a thin hollow tube doesn't have the huge flotation of the Unit or Slick Centre strut. I'm not in huge waves just swell and on a larger board so have not really experienced the sinking/starting issues others have mentioned. Having said that the idea is to keep it out of the water . and it's above your head where the light boom really comes into its own.
cheers

Interesting that he says there is 3/4 inch adjustment on the boom? I regularly go out and adjust 4 or 5 holes to flatten off the wing due to wind increasing or putting some draft back into the wing when the wind drops.
Carbon boom looks nice but i need that adjustment where I live.
Yeah I'm not sure how that "adjustment" works, I'm guessing you could (in theory) have a long and a short end string each with a loop and choose the one you want to use before you go out. I'd not be keen to attempt to change it on the hop. You wouldn't be adjusting it 4-5 holes though. I just leave it fixed at the strong wind length.
