Duotone unit 4m only has 3 handles...does anyone ever use the middle one?!

Works reasonably well for one handing , esp riding toeside. I also sometimes move my rear hand onto it to sheet on just before peeling off DW onto a swell

Yep Northy. I use the second handle when getting going then move the third when getting up speed on the foil. I'm just off intermediate so my advice is take it or leave it stuff. I'm 66 yrs and 63 kg so ATM the 4m is a sweet spot size for me 12-18 knots.

thanks for all the responses. i sometimes feel the 3rd handle (that i normally use) is too much of a stretch when im trying to gybe...at least thats my excuse..struggling to do the rig flip with total control and then keep momentum in switch stance...i keep feel like im having to stretch for that new back hand...and then when i do get it in control i cant keep on the foil in switch...

I use the 2nd handle sparingly.... mostly for setting up and getting my hands in place before knee starting. I also tend to grab it during transitions in lighter wind or to flip my grip over on my front hand or do leash management when flying.

It works OK for one hand flying, for me better the more off the wind I go.
