Ok so I have a Moses/Sab m82 mast that has 4 holes at the front and two at the back. I've just got the w1110 wing and wanted to mount the mast as far forward in the tracks as possible ( because the tracks are set fairly close to the trailing edge on my board )
The problem is that when using the front holes that allow the mast to be positioned further forward ,then the back holes align perfectly with the gap where you take the lock nuts out of the tracks effectively meaning you are only securing the mast on two bolts.
so would it be ok to drill two more holes on the rear of the mast base or would it affect structural integrity.

ps. I know I could shimm but would rather not

Many thanks

I don't think it will affect the integrity of the mast but your reducing the footprint or surface area of where it mounts to the box quiet a bit. That will put more forces on the box area which could rip out easier depending on how you ride. I'd personally go with a shim.. ppc now make a really good one. Either that or move your feet/straps to suit.

Maybe get lock nuts that are slightly longer and bridge the slot?
