Over 1000 miles into this board and here's my notes on it for both wing and parawing sessions. Currently my all time favorite all-rounder.

Great write-up. I was curious to hear your feedback with the thinner profile. Sounds awesome!

Thinner really is nice. More stable in the water and more responsive in flight. Win-win!

For the parawing i feel like another few inches would help greatly compared to use for winging. It would thin it out some more also while providing that front to back stability on the lighter end of the wind range. Would your dimensions be different if the board was solely for parawing?

Hah! Great intuition. Last fall I put up this wingfoil review of the Aviator 18:

www.wouzel.com/post/sunova-aviator-18-gorge-wing-review

Which was a fun board for me to learn a bit more about the pros/cons of specific dims and what I was gaining/losing with winging. I'd been considering selling it but pulled it out again to learn how to parawing. All I can say is WOW. Right on the money. BARG Factor going from 3.18 on the custom Carver to 4.53 on the Aviator 18 was an absolute dream for my learning to parawing experience. I'm actually re-writing that review in a parawing only version and the words are finished, just getting pics and clips to add into it.

If I were to order a new parawing only board today I would steal the deck from the Sunova Pilot, stretch the Carver to 6'5" maybe? I'd consider 19" in width but 20" would keep it thin. Maybe throw just a couple extra liters in there but TBH I think 77l in a 6'5" might be enough for my updated skill level and the conditions I parawing in (always pumping). I'm yet to pull out my Silk 650 with the parawing but once I do, that will likely give me the final notes on if I need a little more float or not.
