Hi
I would like to know the experience of someone who could have used Dakine Chase and any of these two boards, Naish Hover or Gong Lance or Flint in similar volumes, and compare them in terms of stability and easy take off in light winds.

From a different point of view, has someone tested the NSP spitfire?

Thanks.

Hi mate. I learnt to wingfoil last year on Dakine Chase 98 litre. I am 85kg dry with no clothes on. I have windsurfed, kitesurfed, surfed and supped. I loved the Chase. Perfect for my weight. Stable but still pretty agile. My friend has the size up and it is a good deal more stable but not quite as agile. Late last year I upgraded foil from Dakine charger 1600 to Cabrinha h1000. Absolutely love that foil but after a while the board started to feel a bit big underfoot. So I picked up an 85 litre Naish Hover in December sales. The Naish is quite a different shape with less volume in nose. It is definitely a lot less stable when not on foil and getting going but once up riding I absolutely love it. Much more agile than Chase but still forgiving on touch downs. I am making 90% of gybes now and foot swap with small touchdown and starting to get into small waves with wing flagged. Absolutely love the Hover and I think if I was purchasing again would get a Hover over the chase in a bigger volume but purchase at the time was based on budget! Hope that helps.

Thank you so much for the useful information. I guess you live in a place with good wind. Regarding light wind take off I guess the chase would fly earlier than the hover because of the flatter hull?

Hi Side shore, I haven't tried the Dakine Chase, so can only guess visually , and from it's dimensions. Compared to the Naish Hover which I have owned (2023 and 2024 models).
Take off , and touchdowns on the 2023 Hover always seemed quick, but the 2024 Hover is something else! Noticeable quicker.
Gradual nose rocker into flat planing area with no tail kick makes for a longer hull. also the rails are straighter, with more pronounced Chines.
Either the 82L or 92L ?

Hi. I have not really had a chance to try hover yet in marginal conditions. I am in Ireland and mid winter here so breezy! But it is narrower than Chase so for equivalent volume I don't know if there would be much in it.
