Ok, I'm going to say it. It's a little tongue and cheek but it's also a "Come On Man" moment.
1. When I buy a wing, how about 25-30 cm's of matching tape so I or my repair man can match the color?
2. For as much as we pay for the foils, board or wings, seriously.. you can't throw in a brand bumper sticker?
3. For wings, there's no excuse not to include your valve adapter.
Ok, that is all, negative further out.
Everything I have ever bought (kites and wings an paragliders) have included all that stuff. I hate having cupboards full of crap I'll never use.
I've never used the matching fabric. Most tears are not conveniently A4 shaped and it's better to use spinnaker tape. I always use black tape because you can make a feature or design out of the repair. Most of my wing/kite canopies are black anyway.
I have way too many stickers. I don't put them on my car. I think it's a bad idea to have a sign advertising expensive stuff inside. I use them for quick ding repairs on boards, or to personalise my pump and stuff so I can tell them from other people's stuff in the setup area.
A lot of valves don't require any adapter. You just plug the end of the hose onto the end of the valve and pump away. I would think twice about buying a product that required a special adapter.
Most companies have gone to 2 types of valves, I bring both in case someone is in a bind. Actually I've gotten creative w my repair tape as well, always black. The professional repairs never seem to have my color, so those are black as well.
As for stickers, it's more nostalgic for me. Kinda like when they give you 2 bars of wax when you buy a surfboard. ??
I've been throwing out years of accumulated blocks of surf wax. Almost every board I've had in the past 20 years has had deck pads.
One SUP board had no deck pad but booties provided more than enough grip. It was a bit slippy under the hands trying to grab the board to jump on before a clean up set came through.
