Hi all,
Bayside Sailboard Club would like to invite wing foilers to come race with us this coming season. We run slalom races (figure 8 course across the wind) every fortnight at different locations across Moreton Bay depending on wind direction.
We would like to offer you the possibility to come and race with us with you own start time. Our racing is fun and casual and a great way to meet other like minded sailors / foilers.
In order to race you will be required to have Australian Windsurfing (AWA) Insurance (covers wings) which you can obtain by becoming a member of BSC for $75. Race fees are $20 per day. You can also obtain your insurance from AWA directly and pay $30 per race day. A helmet and approved PFD is also required.

We will be having an open day (date TBD) in late August where you can come and learn about the racing as well as try the course if conditions permit.

Here is the schedule for this season. Main locations are Devonport drive at Manly or Wynnum Creek at the north end of the esplanade. As shown we are also looking to move around a bit and will compete at the surf connect Brisbane Wind Race day at Sandgate.

To be honest I think everything will be fine for a first attempt. You could go high aspect wing etc but I think learning how to go around the course is the best scenario at first.
I think there might be an adjective drop here., Wing/Ding & Wind Foiling. Are we all one now ? Wing & Wind , I like the cut of your jibe or style of your Gybe. Please clarify.![]()

Tell me what you would like me to use on the event notice and I'll use it :)
