Hi guys has any one used theAxis png 910 for winging what we're your thoughts and what wind range is it good for cheers Rich
That was my second foil for winging.
Coming off the 1150 it was easier to control and had early lift off for my light 70kg.
It was a bit of a handful at my weight once the wind hit 20 knots.
But I found the BSC 890 had a better upper wind range.
Then jumped on the HPS 930 which was a step up again on speed and control.
A good wing but found the others better.

Thanks KarlLQ what size fuesalage and stabiliser do you use with your hps 930 set up cheers Rich
Png 910 is a great foil , I learnt with this foil @75kg it has good range heaps of early lift a great light wind foil I think I used the 910 with the 460flat and short fuse , then went to the hps980v1 with 375p and ultrashort, which was excellent but definitely would of been more challenging to learn with..
Mainly due to the extra board speed and slightly different technique required to pump the hps up of the water

Anybody tried those foils in prone and can compare? Axis says png 910 for start with. Then in faster waves bsc 890 and for hollow fast waves the hps 880. All for over 80kg, so for me.
But how is it with the hps 930 (to much span?)? And isn't it also possible to surf in medium waves with the 910? I hold 910 and 930 now. But for winging the 930 is better. Just hold the png because I want to try surffoil which I didn't yet (few hours drive to the ocean). Started pumpfoil with 1150 and made great progress in just few sessions.
Cheers
Hi Richw,
I started on the BSC 1060 and it was a great foil for learning. Still use it in ultra light conditions (9-12 knots). I'm 70 kg.
Have the 900 and that had a better top end than the 1060 but missed the low down performance of the 1060. Have used the HPS 1050 and 930 and found them to be fast, but difficult to get running in marginal conditions. Pumping requires a careful technique. Tried the BSC 890 and PnG 910 back to back and found little difference between them. The 910 felt a little faster and more glide but I'm splitting hairs. But the 910 compared to the 900 is a definite step up in performance. I can get the 910 running in 11ish knots and have been out in 35+ knots in waves and mush and haven't found it to max out for me yet. It's just a sensational foil. Really user friendly with great performance. A great foil to progress on. I have an ART 999 which is a step up in speed on the 910 but it's 2 steps up in difficulty for me
. Unless it's perfect conditions, the ART will stay in it's bag and the 910 will be the go-to. If it's really marginal, then the 1060, but everything else is 910 material for me.
I use the 910 with a short red fuse and either a 420 speed or 325 progressive.
Compared to the HPS, the PnG feels similar in terms of getting it to fly. With many of the red series fuses (having the bigger leading edge) you can get away with stomping on the foil with your back foot to pump them up. The black series foils tend to stall when you do this. I've found the 910 is OK with pumping, but you have to be far more gentle with it or it will also stall like the black series foils.
Haven't proned with it yet.

I've ridden most of these and would say the PNG910 is a great prone beginner foil.
HPS requires an aggressive fast pump and higher speed which may be difficult for beginner.
BSC pump isn't great, too slow? but turns nicely and actually better in steeper waves as you can stay closer to the pocket.
930 will be fun in smaller waves if you can get the speed/pump right. I have had fun on the 1050, but hate the 1150, the difference is massive.
910 is where you should start, and likely then go smaller (on a surf foil...), it is an easy slow pump and turns well enough to get onto and off waves.

Thank u so far. Ofc I have to start first but what u mean with surf foil? Thinks like HPS 880, BSC 810 or really Surfperformance foil sp?
