What would people go for out the two foils. thinking about up grading so can have a light wind and moderate wind foil by just changing front foil. these are the only two I'm looking at from local dealer. thanks.

Ford or Chevy?
Nissan or Toyota?
Mercedes or Audi?
While you CAN just change the front foil in different winds, more likely you'd need a stab change too.

Oh....here in Berkekey there are maybe 4 Axis wingers and a few more Sabfoil wingers.
The US Distributor for Axis is 17 miles from here.

I'd go Axis.

If available locally, I'd take a look at the Slingshot Phantasm. Why? You can sub the new aluminium masts for the carbon ones and save some money and the Sab (Moses) front wings fit the Phantasm fuse giving you a lot of front wing choice now and in the future.

Sabfoil have a wide range of wings and stabs I switched from slingshot last year and never regretted changing. I'm real happy with the quality and performance of the Sab/moses kit they have been developing brilliant new kit too ,so got my vote.

I have both.
Was Moses only for many years however became disillusioned with a few things during the period Moses became SAB and demoed Axis.
Axis gear does as promoted not always the case with SAB.
I now have Axis for Windwing and kept Moses for kite foiling, but this may change.
My local shop has Axis and I can demo a lot of gear which I can not do with SAB.
A general comment is Axis wings have superior controlled lift, glide and bottom end while SAB have slightly more top end.
Most guys would be happy with either however, with Axis at the local shop that has made my choice easier.

TL;DR: I like Moses, but Axis mast has a ton of options from carbon to aluminum. The alu option is light and way cheaper.

I have Moses and am generally happy. Mostly ride the W1000 for winging and sometimes for prone. It's fast, pumps and glides well, and turns surprisingly well for a 100 cm span. I only have the 71cm mast. Looking at getting the 945 for prone. One thing I don't like is forking out another $1k if I want a longer mast. And the longer ones, 82 and 92, are heavy (great for durability), but Axis aluminum masts are 1/10th the cost of carbon and are light. And if they bend, who cares. Buy another one.

If I didn't already have Moses/SAB I would seriously consider getting Axis. Which I may end up doing now that my kids (for better or worse) have taken up winging. I've only tried the Axis 910 which I liked but felt too slow compared to the W1000 which of course isn't an apples-to-apples comparison so need to try the 999.

I'd get a Project Cedrus mast in the ~90cm range. That way you can use it w/ Moses and Axis if you want... or any other foil brand you might try in the future. I'm doing another order for January if you want one. Yes they are $1100+ but it's a futureproof purchase for many people. They are light and stiff.

Will also have the NoLimitz masts, but they are not modular. They are extremely light though. Will be getting one soon as well.

Another option if you are on Moses / SAB gear is to get a Jim Stringfellow Slingshot to Moses adapter. About AU$130 and allows you to use Slingshot alloy masts on a Moses / SAB fuse. I've just picked up a 90cm Hoverglide mast on SB for $140 as my Mose 91cm mast is way too flexible for my SAB 950 wing.

Some good comments here.

Agree Sabfoil is more geared towards top speed. However their masts do flex quite a bit (also ordered a cedrus mast for that reason), even the M92 isn't that stiff.
The mix of kite vs surf fuse isn't as modular as axis which has so many fuse lengths for the black and series.
