Hi legends,
I have the great good fortune that my young son(13yr) has spent this winter here in South Australia learning to wing foil. In the last few weeks he's cracked it and is happily charging back and forth up on the foil with his dad. His current foil sent up is my old Axis SES 940, he's 63kg. im keen to get him on a different front wing so he can get more ground upwind and a bit more speed, that he tells me he is ready for. I also run a HPS 1050 and 880.
id appreciate your advice.
many thanks
Mick
I have my 12 and 14 yr olds on my bsc 890. Easy and safe. He could use any of your wings. I put them on the 1300 when its light and they do well.
The BSC 890 is really similar to the PnG 910 which I think is a little faster. For 63kg, either of these could be the light wind wing for your son. They have a good top end as well.
I'm around 58kgs and mainly use my HPS 930. When it gets 20knts that wing is too big, but a great allround foil. The HPS 880 that you have should be excellent for him, and in super light winds put him on that 1050 if yours. No need to buy anything new just yet, see where he is taking it and if you then go down the Spitfire track or the ART (Pro).
