Hello I usually ride the HPS 930 in waves off Perth or windy Arvos on the river. Looking to get a spitfire as my new wing to do similar job if not better than 930. I use a 375p and 82cm alu mast when my brother is using his 90cm high mod mast. im wondering if anyone around 90-95kg can tell me what is their preferred foil for 15-25knots. Usually I try get out when it's windier and want a fast easy to turn foil with good low end. I have tried both the 900 and 960 and found the 900 to be faster and turnier but wonder if that's a good trade off vs the better low end and more glide on waves.

any thoughts are appreciated.

Read a detailed thread from a longtime Axis user on another forum (non-english).
HPS 930 was one of his favourite foils.
He replaced it with the Spitfire 960 and is very happy with it. He uses it in the exact same conditions as the 930 before.
For higher winds and more powerful waves he uses the SF 840.

for winging, I prefer the art pro 1051 to the spitty 900. Way less draggy and turns just as fast with double the glide and pumpability. You will be surprised how versatile this wing is. I just swap tails out to get different feels. I also run it on a 90 hm mast. I'm sure you will love the 960 though. Sorry to throw a wrench in your plans. I run it on a long skinny board so it is really easy to get up on foil.

yeah i have a demo 1051 at the moment and looking to get out on it in the next few days. I for sure prefer the HPS over ART as my brother has an 899 and I have spent some time on that one as well as a 999 before it broke. I think ill go for a 960 in the end just because of the low end appeal to me.

97kg Perth rider .
Usually ride an HPS 1050 up to 20 knots and then jump onto a 900 spitfire.
Can ride the 900 from around 16 knots but it is hard work, 20 knots onwards and it is superb.
Reckon you are on the right track with a 960 for 15 knots +.
I'm considering replacing the HPS1050 with a spitfire 1100 for up to 20knot riding and keeping the 900 for above 20.

It should be noted that the 1051 has a much higher stall speed for me at 95kg. Come out of a transition a bit slow and it game over. If you keep speed up, its all good and way more fun foil than the 900. I can make almost all of my tacks on the 900 but everything needs to be perfect on the 1051 so I miss most of them right now.

I'm a bit over 100kgs and use the 960SF for over 17kts winging and it really is a great big guy foil for windier days also super fun for supfoil in 2-3' waves.I'd say if your close 95kgs the 960 prolly be a good choice all around as you get a bit better low end and with pretty unlimited higher end vs the 900 on lower wind days you be working bit harder getting out of the hole on foil,my take better all around at 95kgs the 960 SF,but living in Perth with a lot of wind you can prolly make the 900 work well for you and I'd say one more thing if your into supfoiling and winging I'd definitely go 900SF

85kg, 15mnths into the wing journey. SF960 up to 18knts, SF840 after that, haven't used HPS1050 since getting the SF's but would like to try the Art Pros for light wind winter conditions.
