I have had 3 sessions on the ART 999 on ultra short black fuse and a 380 stab. I am comparing it to my 910 on an ultra short red fuse. Same stab. EARLY PLANNING
the 910 gets up on foil at a lower speed and stalls at a lower speed
PUMPING
On the 910 you pull down on the wing and try to pump the board up on foil
the 999 you pull back on the wing and need to generate forward speed before it will get up on foil. This is harder, needs a different technique, and for me needs more wind
once on foil, the 999 is easier to pump with no wind in the wingSPEED
999 is much much faster
CARVING
on small bay swell, the 999 is more responsive. More nimble. on big bay swell, it is hard to carve because it is so fast. (can't comment on waves yet because of covid)
The 910 doesn't carve as well in bay swell. But it's lovely on waves.
DOWNWINDING
the 999 glides on the smallest of chop. You can actually catch the swell in front. the 910 I can't keep up with the swell and I am mostly connecting with the wave behind
UPWIND
the 999 goes sharper upwind
JUMPING
oh my god! The 999 launches like a rocket. The combination of speed and upwind gives massive air time. This is very exciting. It kills the 910.
TACKING
999 is harder to tack because you need to maintain speed
910 is more forgiving in tacks. EXPERIENCE LEVEL
People who are good at pumping will love this. It's not for beginners. If you can foil out of your tacks, you will love this foil.
in summary, the 999 is more exciting than the 910.
Can not comment on either wing but the 930 black fuse works extremely well for me, but I don't jump.
I use the Axis 1010 and 910 regularly, last week I had the opportunity to compare the 910 with 380 and the 980 with 400.
The 910, despite being smaller, took off easier but the 980 felt faster and more efficient on top.
I would like Axis to develop a smaller version of the 910 as I love its attributes but I would like be faster

Isn't there an 850 png which is supposedly exactly that?![]()
You are right, I did not know that 850PNG but I think it is exactly what I am looking for, I am going to order one, if someone has used it I would appreciate comments
