Interested to hear from anyone who has gone from the new Armstrong masts and MA foils to F-One or vice versa. I have been told that the F-One foils are often faster (comparing similar sizes) but not as responsive. Any experiences to share?

Thanks.

A friend (70-75kg). considered changing. Tried my Armie MA1000, 205 stab and 85A+ once and reckoned it was fast and more responsive compared to his Sevenseas (1000 I think). That was in chop and maybe waist wind swells. He didn't change to Armie as swap out cost not worth the difference and F-One getting new range out

Thanks. It is interesting that there are so many pages talking about the Armie gear but not much chatter on FOne? Anyone else about to comment on their experience?

Think that has to do with where most people who use this forum are located??
Axxis and Armie are by far the most popular foils on these forums as they are most peoples "backyard" brand and they are more likely better priced and better availability then in Europe at least.

If this was an "European" forum, you would see brands like F-one and Sab being the most popular as they are European brands. At least that's my take on it.

I also think if you buy the last generation foil from one of the five big brands, you would be super stoked on how good it is either way. People will all ways be brand loyal though. So asking here witch foil are best of Armie and F-one, most likely you will hear more positive answers towards Armie ????

Best to try a demo from Mark. I had Armstrong a year ago and now ride F One. I went with them because they felt good, very easy to ride and with good performance. I ride the 7 Seas 1200 mostly, also the 990 Eagle. I have ridden the 7 Seas 1000 and it is really nice. Just waiting on Sk8s and will go 850 or 950.

Havent ridden any newer Armies such as the MAs so cant comment on them. Each brand is just getting better and that is great.

What is the difference between the SS1200 vs the E990? A lot more glide the 990...is it get going a bit late vs the 1200 and the 1000? Thanks.

Where I live, F One is never really represented but the video footage of F-One guys riding waves on their rigs always looks pretty amazing. They "look" pretty responsive to me!

Seven Seas 1200 is 7.5 aspect ratio vs 9.5 for the 990 Eagle. Eagle is faster, better glide, needs more speed to get going, and has bigger turning radius. That said the seven seas has good speed, glide and very low stall speed. It has great wind range and is my low wind foil.

Just bought a Sunova Elite downwind board and hoping I can use this. I haven't downwinded and limited sup foil experience. But seeing guys like Mister Bennetts and others on these boards was enough to get me thinking. Tried it once only in 15 to 18 knots and happy I can stand on it.

I prefer the mid aspect foils to higher but that is just me. I know others prefer it the other way round.
