Kia Ora
Where's everyone setting their mast position in the tracks on the new Armie 5'11 FG in particular (or other sizes). Interested to hear from others.
These boards are straight fire and I've had about 3 foil sessions and a wing ding one ..but be good to see how others are setting them up for wing ding and sup foiling. I'm 6ft and 96kgs current set up 85cm mast/ 60fuse/1550/ 300 or 232..and 1850 for wing ding I have tried the mast at 3, 3.5, 4( supfoiling) and 4.5 for wing ding. Thanks

Kia Ora,
Sorry can't help with mast position, as my Armie foil is mis matched to my Fanatic sky sup because of the tail rocker.
I am same size and weight as you and sup and ding the V2 1550 with 232 tail, was thinking of getting 1850 for light winds. How much more lift do you get out of 1850?

I've been hovering around 5-6 for my 1125 wing on my 60L FG board. Using two red shims on fv200 tail

I have the 5'-2", 75 L model and have only a few wing sessions on it. I tried 4-5 but really liked it at 3.5 for my foot strap location

Kia ora man
I haven't used the 1550 for wing ding yet just for sup foiling and love it..however I dropped down from the 2400 to the 1850 for the ding and its better in every way. And now even more so on the FG board..really smooth take off and glide.
Nga mihi..hope that helps

I mainly ride the 1850 on the 5'2 75 L. Have it currently set to 5 but finding my front foot keeps landing above the strap holes. So considering moving the mast back.

Also using a 5'11" FG with 85 mast 60cm fuse, HS1850 and 1250 foils.
Started at 4 and have moved back to 2 getting me in the right place for the screw holes (strapless)
94kg.
The other variable is the kick pad which I have just in line with the back edge of the main deck pad.
Love the board so far, hope that helps.

Have had limited time on 5'8". With 1850 in 12 knots started on position 5 with red tab in stab. Felt like too much lift and more front pressure than I was used to so I moved back to 3. Better but I still need to keep playing. Will keep position around 3 and try no shims in stab next.

Board is great.

Thanks man appreciate the feedback. I don't use straps foiling and had my mast set up at 4 today. Was a sweet little session. Gonna take me hex tool out tomorrow and adjust on the water have moved my back foot plate forward too now as before I wast feeling the kick pad when it was set at the last back hole

Cheers

Just for info, went out in very light wind session today with HS1850/5m Slick.
Moved the mast forward to 3 from 2 and was really sweet pumping on in light winds and comfortably pumping through lulls between gusts. Might try 3 for higher winds next time.
(good to get feedback on here as the next nearest Armstrong board must be hundreds of miles away :)
