I had a purple Dutone Sky Wing where the rails cracked within 2 months. Early days, we all mistakes, and warranty quickly settled, so OK. Now my supposedly better built Sky Wing TE has a cracked rail after 50 uses. I am about to buy a new board and nervous about Duotone. Did they learn their lessons or still building boards prone to failure? Any real world experiences

Why chance it when there are so many good board manufacturers out there? I've seen enough about their boards to steer well clear.

After too many warranties I walked away from duotone as well. I liked their gear but I really don't want to deal with warranties.

The mint green sky wing te was known to have problems. 1st year of the purple (covid) ones were also pretty weak but the 2nd year were stronger. not heard of a single Duotone 2024 Sky board break but there probably has been a few. if you jump the sls model is defo stronger and also more rigid but if no jumping and lighter weight the normal construction is good. I use Sky style 5'1 as my light wind board and Sky style sls 4'9 as high wind

Zero issues with the yellow one. I would think they haven't regressed since.

Had no problems with '23 canary or '24 violet crumble, with lots of jumping

mine was replaced with a new one after first was cracking almost from day one. put rail tape on the new one and has been fine so far for the last 4 - 6 months

even with all the cracks, the first one never seemed to take on much water or put on weight. i used it cracked for almost a year

My Fanatic/Duotone 2023 Sky Free TE has been good, just self inflicted wounds. No other noticable problems after 100+ days.
