Follow up to my ' custom board' story (www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/Wing-Foiling/Wind-Wings/When-its-time-to-get-a-custom-board--) here. From there, you know I 'tweaked' a new Amos Shapes 60L wing board model, the NITRO to suit my petty needs (i.e. way forward centered positioning and small guy foot-strap spacing) + also scale it down a bit since I found my then Naish Hover 60L more than adequate volume as a daily one board.

Been a month of winter riding, so ....

What I like ..

- feel my balance on board is now spot on (can see from my photo below where I am on the board)
- foot-strap position is exactly where I want them relative to mast and also spacing
- super easy to make small carves on flat and small swells
- feels easier to pop to a jump, could be CG or just board bottom design
- board feels solid, had a few wall/road/rock bumps on land, not a dent/indent/chips so far
- still love a 'surf board' type shape, personal preference
- nice and grippy but can foot around deck drip
- uber long mast track, now I can test everything from a Slingshot Phantasm to a 'no neck' old Slingshot
- made in Australia :)

what I not really like ..

- due to long mast-track and it's high density box, handle is way 'off' so have to improvise
- took a while to get my board (mainly due to new production start-up and courier mess-up)
- no other crew to talk about 'our board', though there are plenty Amos proners around.

Will also likely order these 'only available in black' Core XC wings from WA Surf to compliment the color of my board too, kidding .. love them (mini boom feel/feedback and wing dynamics) after demo'ing countless wings. Just waiting for 'the container' to arrive and choose 2 sizes.

Amos has 2 standard NITRO models 60L and 44L but they are more than happy to do one up to suit (like your local surf board shaper).

I'm 1m69 and I found the footstraps on my Gong Lethal too far apart, one guy said it's like doing the splits so I get that you wanted the strap placement to feel more natural and comfortable, I'm currently strapless and that makes it way more natural for me, small boards are the way to go imo, just sometimes a pain when the wind goes away, great that you found what you want

That was exactly what was happening .. ended up jumping spread legged with both foot in straps on my old board (otherwise was a good board the Naish Hover Carbon). Now its all good

I guess some weight is a factor for the footstrap box inserts but I wish the makers would put too many foot strap options rather than too few, there is no standard sized or shaped wing foiler we are all similar but also quite different

Agree! I had one time sent my sinker Wavechaser 140F 35L to have a row of Chinook footstrap screw insert block installed so I can screw in a "V" North footstrap ...
