Hi
Do you know any brand who makes this kind of devices? There are some rigid handles or minibooms from Armstrong or Ocean Rodeo but not suitable to any brand. They should be attached firmly to the beginning and ending of the soft handle, the points in which the handle is sewn to the strut, in order to be solid.
Cheers
I believe the guys from kiteboarding.com are modifying wings to accept the OR carbon handles. The cost wasn't that bad either. Other people are putting rigid hose around the handles and taping it.
I've seen an aftermarket product to span the handles as a center handle but I haven't seen what you are looking for. The problem is that there are so many different sizes that it would be hard to make something universal.
If you search the forum you'll see a solution people posted involving a PVC pipe and a Hockey tape.
It's fairly simple and very effective. will cost you $20 and 30 minutes. From my experience the tape needed replacement every once in a while.
I used it on my Ocean Rodeo soft handles before they came out with the rigid ones.
I printed a tpu handle sheath that i can fit around my existing handle, i did that because to prevent my handle to break, i had a broken spot inside the handle.
The thicker the tpu the harder it's will be, it's was semi rigid but keep in mind i needed to be able to bend the sheath for fitting.
Here in use ( i sold the wing it's was a takoon v2) it was the first long printing so i got some issues with layer shifting that why the fit it not perfect, but you could easily duck tape the whole thing
I don't but I want a product like that for my Slingshot Darts!
I used some wide velcro to attach cf hockey stick shafts to my darts. Works ok. I'm tempted to remove all the middle handles. It would render it valueless to anyone else, but since MacKite is selling them new at 5 for a thousand dollars they're not worth much anyway.
