We've had a pretty superb run of weather this summer in the Shaky Isles. The coastline has been dotted with little pods of wingers downwinding their butts off. Heres a little clip of a downwinder from a couple of days ago along the coast just north of Auckland.
That was great to watch. How are you liking the Mojo?
Seem pretty nice. To me they seem to be what I expected the V1 Strike to be but it wasnt. Very light, best handles I have used, exceptional build quality. Have a tighter canopy with the same deep draft and more leech tension. Powerful for their size. They do have pretty extreme bladder pressures but I've been playing with less pressure to see what the effect is on performance. Only negatives are that they have a large LE diameter and a reasonable amount of dihedral which makes them very roll stable and I find them much harder to roll over in a tack than my previous wings. But the upside of that is very stable when flagged out and have a very locked in draft. Oh yeah they have these 2 extra handles that seem pointless but turn out to be great places to attach a GoPro on a pole, lol. The designer is not designing wings for a bunch of other brands so the design is unique to Flysurfer. Very upright leading edge with square tips and scalloped Trailing edge. I guess this keeps the draft locked in better.

Thanks for the info. I haven't been able to find out too much about them online, so it's always good to hear a user review. I have an Ozone WASP 5m and am looking for a 4m wing now. I might try and demo the Mojo.

Mate I'm watching this thinking is this bloke out here on his own? How many kms out to sea are you? Looks simultaneously fun as all **** and ****ing terrifying. Are sharks on your mind on these runs or is like a kiteboard where you go too fast for them?
I almost always see sharks, mainly baby hammerheads basking at the surface. Have hit a few too. There was a bigger one came past on this trip but shark attacks vvv rare in NZ. If u are on the ocean they are around no matter where. Not really an issue. I have an EPIRB and little vhf radio in case but always go with a buddy.
