I'm a 75kg wing dinger. I love my BSC 970 for light wind and was looking for a strong wind foil.

The candidates were
810 BCS
890 BCS
880 HPS

My priority is carving on big swells and getting massive air time. But I didn't want something too hard to pump in the lulls.

I tried the 810 first. I liked the way you pump it in the lulls. You pump up with an olly as opposed to to getting forward speed (which you need with higher aspect wings) I like this.

It has a long glide and slow stall speed which is great for tight slow turns.

It turns rail to rail very quickly. Feels small under you.

It loves to jump. Very exciting.

It's not twitchy in fast turns.

Btw I'm riding it on an ultra short fuse with a 380 stab.

I don't see any need to try the 890. If it's too light I am happy to jump on my 970.

The 880 will be interesting to try.

My 999 ART is far more reactive with front foot to back foot pressure and is faster. This makes the 999 better for jumps but worse for fast turns. Also, the 999 needs more wind and speed to get on foil. So for this reason I prefer the 810. BCS axis first impressions

Which of the BSCs you've tried has the closest bottom end to the 910 Yuppy?

830HPS is the pick for me. It's low drag and the quickest of the pack. Turns nicely too. There's smaller ART coming out too

Bsc 890 is closest bottom end to my old 910, not much in it.

HPS830 man. You would honestly be surprised at how good these smaller sizes are, and if you're really keen.... 700... I honestly love this foil, it's like a little skateboard.

The 970 has a better bottom end than the 910.

The 910 has a better bottom end than the 810 BSC.

by matter of elimination I'd say the 890 must be about the same. But I haven't tried it

Strangest thing, it seems like everyone glazes right over the 880.
Man, f DTL fast wall riding it is radical.

So hard to go back once you've got use to the speed of the HPS. I prefer the HPS 930 over the 999 as an all rounder but 999s glide is very addictive. Will be interesting to see how the other x99s compare...

I'm 90k and use the BSC1060 for an allrounder and tried the BSC890 for the first time over the weekend. I rode the 890 in chest high waves and it did not disappoint, just really came alive in the swell.

I've only been winging since May so I don't have any experience with the HPS lines.
