Just researching wings for the girlfriend.

Noticed some good prices for 2020 wings and just wanted to know if they would be worthwhile for learning? Or have designs progressed to the point it would be better to get a 2022?

Depends on the specific wings.

Any wing version 2 should be fine.

Why not just share your wings? Get more sizes?

I genuinely don't think they've improved that much. With the exception of the original Slingshot wing there's no terrible ones out there. I saw a lad absolutely ripping on an original Naish MK1 wing the other day. Marginal improvements for stupid money. Go cheap and light as possible - the inevitable stab through the canopy will be less of drama!!!
