anyone enjoy themselves on ocean yesterday.
i got crucified on 5.0m
hardest days sailing ever for me.
needed a 2.5m kids rig i think.
how was it on river.
easily 30kn plus here. 4.2m a touch too much for me but the bigger fellas were on 4.7. bit of swell too but plenty of hard work.![]()

Awesome day at Peli Point, was fully lit on a 4.7 until about 4.30 when my beloved dropped off the 4.2 (that's love). I got another hour with a more than a few overpowered runs. Expereinced my first real airs - when the wind gets under you and adds to your height - that was heaps of fun.
Finished by watching Justin (from Peli Point school) doing loops, duck gybes and tacks and making them look easy. One lone kiter came out and was doing some insane jumps and landing most of them.
WA turned it on for the summer.Down south it was intense and for a southerly .
Channel runs were blistering in australind , water was like glass.Rigged a 6.4 x15 , no margin for error as boat channel approx 5- 7m wide , 1km long.Sailing in the open water was a challenge.Sunday the day of rest.
Lancelin was the best I've ever seen it - solid 25 knots, logo+ high sets, well powered on my 5.0, best sail I've had since October ![]()
Speaking of windy days - BOM has issued a gale warning for this afternoon!
"Gale warning" is windsurferish for "Stop work immediately, cancel all social gatherings and other non-life-threatening appointments and proceed directly to the beach".
I can't recall seeing a gale warning issued for a Freo Doctor before - good luck boys and girls!!
