I live SOR and plan to go to lucky bay mostly. interested in checking out safety bay also. my goal is to practice and have fun. would especially appreciate some pointers if meeting up with more experienced windsurfer
Kevin I'm from Qld but have sailed at Lucky Bay, just roll up and say hi, you'll have more buddies than you could shake a stick at, great mob 
Same goes for Safety Bay - nice bunch of friendly people there every windy day, just rock up and say g'day.
