Best to try Ian @ Sails & Windsurfing Centre in O'Connor as he specializes in repairing sails, don't know how much it will cost I think roughly $60-80.

I take it you are learning zues, if so there are better types of sails to make learning easier that will NOT cost more than the repair cost of that sail.
You could fix it then find out it is too heavy, hard to rig and not helpful to use.

would you bother spending the same cash repairing a 17 year old video player when you could nip down to Dick Smiths to get the lastest dvd/vid combo?
It is the same with that sail.

Not trying to put you off but help save you cash in the short term and long term. Hope you get it all sorted and enjoy your sailing.

i have the same problem im not sure if i put my head through it or the board damaged it at rocko the locals laughed but one of them lent me some automotive tape wich has fibres in it and i used that and it worked a treat.
i have a bigger secondhand sail 150 bucks from 2nd wind sails of canning highway now but the oldone still gets used (with tape) for when my mates want to try. and i still use it
if u are learning tape it up with the tape they use on the bathurst cars it will be sweet dont wory everyone has been there and taped saild before

thanks guys, so its ok to tape it up, thats great to know.. i give it a try.. as you said before i am only learning might be better if i look out for a second hand sail..
would seabreeze the only place i can get a second hand sail from?
i have a 430 mast and a extension that would go up to 6m sail..
i put up a photo of my extension , so gives me some idea what sail i am going to look at.
thanks guys for your help.

i think paying for a repair would be a waste

get a better quality second hand sail for a couple of hundren bucks, zues... maybe one without cams OR tape it up yourself and use it as much as u can..til it dies.

That sail you've got looks shot to pieces, IF u repair, in a short time it will tear somewhere else ...

all the shops in perth carry a decent range of sails, ring up first though .

with a 430 mast and the extension u have , that should fit a sail in the 5 - 6.5 area

Just get the 2" wide (50mm) 100 MPH tape (the one with cord in it.) Auto shops, Bunnings and places like that will have it

I used a pvc tape from bunnings its clear and strong as hell your struggle to tear it $12 bucks a roll .
I rebuilt a whole main panel at gnaraloo once and sailed it there for the rest of the week no worries at all

Try Paul or Jez at 2ndwind they will look after you for a second hand sail
