a few of my mates are interested in getting into windsurfing and i was wondering if any one knows anyone or has any learner gear; for example, 2.5m - 3.0
Mitch, if your mates are hefty enough, sails anywhere up to 4.4 will be big/small enough to learn with.
I'm 90k's and i used a 4.4 Zone on a floaty 160L board and it was great.
im 16 and my mates want to learn.. and there siblings would probably want a go aswell... so i need something abit smaller for them to pull up.. so 3.0 would be a good size as the kids are pretty lanky :)
A friend's daughter aged 11 is learning with an old 3.7 of mine without a problem, don't think you need to go as small as 2.5 unless they are under 8 or 9.
Just don't put them on the secret weapon for a while.
