Now considering it was the strongest seabreeze for a year or more, where are all the stories? Wavesailors are hurtin' so there has to be some good yarns from Cervantes? Speeds?
More pics?
C'mon peoples I am hanging

A few stories coming through on the GPSTC site.
Sounds like carnage out there - broken gear and some injured sailors.
Troppo scored a PB of 40 knots...

Not a speed sailor but sailed a couple of different wave spots in the area. First one in the morning was a bit over mast high breaking top to bottom and was good with a 4.7. The other more well know spot was about head high (maybe a bit bigger in the sets) but over cranked on a 4.2 all afternoon until the storm moved in.

Some people will note that there is quite a sizable difference between the radar top speeds and peoples GPS speed's, The picture below hopefully offers some explanation.

Where the radar gun was set up and aimed was where the water started "thinking" about smoothing out (compared to out back), the smoothest runs were well past the gun into the bay, however even that was a bit of a mission dodging strategically placed cray boats and moorings.

Respect to all who lined up in front of the gun it was a full on day

Also

Apologies for being a "Beach Nazi" and getting everyone to park a long way from the shore but I think it worked out a lot better than having a huge wind shadow in those conditions. That felt like a bloody long way to lug my gear back.

Huge thanks to

WSP for the event
Anna Marie and Mel for the time keeping

That was fun
