i’d like to send a shout out to the obese windsurfer who told me to 'f**k off down wind' @ Melville on Sunday
no doubt my fault i guess - but still no need for the agro
i was kiting upwind to the ‘no-man’s-land’ area between the kite surfers and the windsurfers - there were 2 other windsurfers there - and we were all looking out for each other - no drama - i did not think i was in the windsurf area - but apologies if i was - wind was patchy and i was on a small kite - so i had gone a little upwind to give me a bit of leeway
big boy deliberately sailed downwind to tell me to f**k off and then proceeded to sail back upwind
i ‘did as i was told’ to avoid any agro
the portly sail main aimed his board directly at me and came close in an intimidating fashion - at least that’s how i felt anyway
no drama - and i’m really sorry if i stepped in to your perceived territory - but like russ’s GF - i found the experience less than pleasant
i will also post this in both forums

Who cares! Go cry somewhere else. I know I'm feeding another troll.
take it up with him at the beach. we don't collectively control everyone who rides a windsurfer.
we will sort out this windsurfer if you can sort out every kook kiter.
Heres a copy of a post scotta started. I guess he stuffs up frequently he needs to relax and move on.
"It's been a while... Yes there are 3 kinds of people. Rushin... you are most likely a nice guy who acted like a bit of a D#CK... you may have some anger issues that will resolve as you age and mellow. Simon ... you are also a nice dude ... yeah you acted a bit like a PU$$Y ...You don't owe a D#CK anything ... but that's cool ..... you may become less of a PU$$Y as you age and mellow. The Racist Redneck dudes .... yeah.... you guys are the real AR$EHOLE$.... and that is really the most disappointing part of this whole saga. Mistakes happen ..... we all do our best in stressful situations to the best of our ability. Breathe .... Relax .... Let's move on.... "

Good advice from the deep south
Now whats with the swear word polies are using ............Please and thankyou for ****** off down wind
I'm a windsurfer.....I don't care if you are a kiter.......I know the area you are talking about and I agree it's free area....traditionally windsurfers stay up near the sand bar, kiters a few hundred meters down the way........if you were minding your own business, not being a pork chop, then the windsurfer sounds like a knob. There's a couple down there, no disrespect but generally older fellas going backwards and forwards who think they own the river.
My opinion, go kite somewhere else....plenty of better spots than lucky bay
I feel sorry for you Scotta.
But not as sorry as I feel for myself leaving my beautiful Ezzy 430 mast yesterday .(wed 2nd) at the windsurf rigging area by bent street jetty in safety bay.
I hope some kind soul has taken it home for safe keeping and will contact me soon....
it was left to me by my grandmother and has great sentimental value.....I hope someone returns it...I have posted in lost and found...
no shirt
Yeh I did see him. He actually seemed like a jolly fellow, smiling and waving to others (perhaps windsurfers)
Are people saying that the windsurfers willingly gave up to good end of Melville to the kiters? So now we get to grovel in the corner among the slime, flat water and gusty conditions.
So just to clear this up, we're looking for an aggressive, portly windsurfer with an Ezzy 430 mast...

actually, semi-naked aggressive, portly windsurfer with an Ezzy 430 mast
Haha, I was at Dutchies on Sunday and there was a portly shirtless man ranting about a kitesurfer that came from upwind into the windsurfing area. I was having a rest on the beach an didn't see the problem because there was only about 10 windsurfers out. The portly, shirtless man was yelling at me I assume for support. He then closely watches a kiter (who I suddenly realised was a mate with whom I windsurfed Dutchies back in 1982) come through a couple more times and points and rants at him. Then it got interesting as I watched the portly shirtless man eyeing my mate of as he gybed on the outside, shirtless jumped on his board and immediately beared way off and headed straight at my mate. Now I've been sailing a long time, and competent people make a judgement about who needs to point higher, who is about to gybe, who is about to bear off for a jump or ride, and I could tell that the shirtless guy targeted my mate. After they avoid each other he attempts a loop and crashes, so my mate kites back and forth spraying him. Which I thought was pretty funny. Then portly, shirtless man comes in and tries to get me and another old guy to support him in his allegation that the kiter sailed at him and should know where to sail. I told him "nah, you sailed at him me and my mate have been sailing there for over 30 years and really didn't need to be told where to sail". So now portly shirtless man is real disappointed and accuses me of siding with my friend. Kiter mate comes in and verbal abuse and threats ensue. Portly shirtless man throws his gear on the ground and his sail accidentally flips and catches the kite lines and slams the kite into the ground near the fence creating what I presume was as dangerous, at best expensive situation. He apologizes and in the commotion to retrieve gear the situation seems defused and we all go sailing.
So in summary; portly, shirtless man got no chill.
