Hey there! I was looking for a place to ask some questions on winsurfing along the West Coast and I think this is the right place to ask! I'm from Holland and currently studying in Brisbane. At the start of Dec my classes are over and I'll catch a plane to Perth for some windsurfing (about 8 days probably). Would any of you be so kind to advice me on good spots to do some (not-to-hard) wave surfing?

My idea was to rent gear for a week, I prefer one spot instead of driving around (will take more time + have to rent a car). Are there spots where they actually rent out stuff at the spot itself? Also need a place to sleep, heard Geraldton was a good option.

Please tell me about general windconditions, wave heights, if it's crowded or not and maybe an indication of rental costs..

PS I did some wave surfing but not too much, so waves bigger than 2m will be kinda hard.. like a bit of a challenge though

Thanks for any info!

hi wappie
yes geraldton or lancelin prob best options.
as far as i know can rent gear in both those locations but not right at the spots
so you will need transport.
both places have lots of places to stay including backpacker hostels.
cheers ratz
