Tidying up my garage and I have a bunch of gear that is surplus - old masts, harness lines, fins etc. It got me thinking - it might be a good season starter to head to Pelican Point and have a market!
Bring your surplus gear down, put a few dollars on it or put it out for free. Find a new home for lonely gear.
Saturday 5 Nov, 10am - Midday.
Hope to see a few peeps there.
If you think you might come along, reply to this post so I know I won't be on my lonesome.
Ripper idea, there used to be a start of season swap meet thing like this but it faded away.
I'd like to see all the people with free gear come down, $10 an item with money to charity?
Or shops come down and do cheap accessories - nobody can buy a board or sail at short notice but cheap secondhand booms / extensions / fins will be snapped up..
WWA get some proceeds?
Etc..
I'm gonna be there Jo.
was gonna do a bit of a BBQ nothing too special, just some sausages in a bun.
Make sure Crasher's got all those damaged sail panels repaired before he tries to sell any of them ![]()

Can't come, but looking for a dinged up very cheap 100 - 115L FSW if anyone has something
I have a JP FSW from 2005. The nose missing and patched up. The area near footstraps reinforced (probably went soft at some stage) then repainted in Holden RSV metallic green... It's a proper wreck, you would love it.
I still used it in high winds until I bought a 2007 FSW 102 - so it floats.
It's yours if you can organise a pickup.
Make sure you bring a hat n sunscreen kids.
Looks like it's gonna be a scorcher if the forecast is right![]()
