At the recent Cervantes speed weekend, the idea of joining the Safety Bay Sailing Club was floated.

Apparently costs $100 pa and would give Windsurfing a physical home along with toilets, showers, and especially a bar.

It sounds like a good idea to me, especially if we can get the WWA involved and relevant insurance is included etc.

I know a few blokes have joined already, what seems to be the general consensus?

I received this email the other day...
----------------------

We have a property 1012sq metres with a with a 3x1 Beach cottage and undercover area great for storing Kites & Surfboards for Rent or Sale in Shoalwater. The location and house would be ideal for Kite or Windsurfing Clubhouse not only to store equipment, but live-in full-time or on weekends. Not only a great place to hang-out, but if a consortium or club bought the property, it would be a great long term investment. The property is one street back from the beach and 400metres to the Local supermarket and cafes and windsurfing beach in SafetyBay/Shoalwater. The house & land is on the market for $590.000 but will also rent long term at around $300 neg. per week. If you are interested or know of anyone who may be interested please phone Eva on 0412 956 354. We also have a ute for your use to transport equipment to and from the beach.

Mino how often do you sail at Safety Bay, and how often do you think you would use the facilities?

Just trying to gauge whether I would get my moneys worth!
