Hi all, Happy Easter. I am thinking of moving to Hopetoun and wonder what the windsurfing is like for a beginner and beginner/intermediate.........require flat water, little waves as bad back and could not stand a major stack in big waves. Looking forward to your replies.

Hey Nattles,

Looking at Hopetoun on Google earth the orientation looks good for sw and se winds, I have not sailed there but you are a pretty good sailor so I imagine you could do it, maybe sail from the groyne to the point about 1 km.

I repeat I have not sailed there, it just looks possible.

Cheers GT

Hi Nattles. Never sailed their either but been their a few times. Plenty of long beaches to checkout. Fanny's Cove to west closer to esperance is a goer. Or just go live there. you will need a 4wd. 5 acre blocks for 60k in hopetoun.
