Congratulations to MBSC for holding a very successful and popular 2020/2021 WA Windsurfer State Titles Regatta over two weekends just after Christmas.
Fantastic close course racing, slalom and marathon on a deserted Swan River was enjoyed by all 33 competitors.
Conditions varied from a drifter marathon to course racing in savage 25-28 knot gusty easterlys
Overall 2020/2021 Windsurfer LT State Champion Tim Gourlay (in action above) cleaned up and was unbeaten in 13 races. His training preparation included circumnavigation of Rottnest from Freo and return as well as windsurfing to Geraldton on a Mistral One Design raising funds for charity. An absolute top bloke and great sportsman.

Dave Ezzy remarked just recently about the Windsurfer Class WA State Titles when watching the events from Maui: "Love it! Put me right back to 1978. I agree, racing is easier and more inviting with the windsurfer LT class than it is with foiling."
