Hi guys i'm relatively new to perth and still learning the wind patterns. I'm happy to see that the freo doc has kicked in nicely spent the arvo out sailing yesterday :)

Have a mate coming over in the new year to go windsurfing and sailing and wanted to pick a time that has a better than average chance of producing some good winds.

What are the winds like in Jan, Feb, and March?

When do the winds die down again and become less predictable / erratic?

Thanks

January is best, February good but not as good as January. March it starts to get more erratic.

Nothing is ever certain but in Perth you could expect to sail (over 15 knots) 5-6 days per week in December and January.

I agree with AUS 1111
Really good until mid February then the seabreeze becomes lighter, later and less reliable.
