I had a look at mettlams and total onshore winds but waves look great, but no chance getting out with their size and wind direction.
Who has got out???
No chance at Mettams in winter unless its a southerly wind.
Actually there is not much chance of a wave sail anywhere in Perth metro during winter.
Had a good sail at pengoes full sinker and a 4.2 to start then changed to a 5.2
Ended up looking like a seaweed monster on launch !!Went to start in shoulder height seaweed and was completely pinned down When i got moving i had to shake the fin and clear the boom before getting catupluted in the gusts. ![]()
Want to get on the board as quick as possible and away from the seaweed It Drains alot of energy when you have to fight the seaweed, small beach waves and the wind
Plenty of waves out if your still hydrated and not lethargic /strong enough to make the trip out. Think there will be the crew out there this arvo ripping it up. Arms are dead will try again tomorrow if conditions dictate. (take a semi sinker insted of full sinker)next time
sick fun today - maui tack aerials at the inn on a freak northerly bend in the wind for about 90 minutes
yes!
finally made it out and had lovely day out sailing today..rain made it difficult to see sometimes but pretty sweet couple of hours
we sailed just south off the point at wedge island, was pretty good with clean waves and cross off wind, was on 3.7. bit shore dumpy!
there was so much water moving around in the channel between the point and the island it was difficult to sail in the area, but there were some surfers. does this spot ever work in less wind or maybe very low tide?
