Guessing I'm not the only one who drove to the beach (or bloody lano ) only to find a severe lack of wind over the weekend.

Fess up!

P.S. Someone at BOM needs a punch in the face

lanno was wicked yesterday,, sailed for 4 hours on a 5.7. decent swell with some 3/4 to mast sets - but the direction not ideal.

Glugged around at Peli on Sunday, looking at the graphs it picked up just after I left.

I went to scabs with the missus yesterday for a bbq with her mates - thought I'd be able to escape for an afternoon sailing and still get the brownie points.
Well and truely punked!

Went to lano yesterday (Sunday). Was sick. sailed for 4 hours on 5.7m, wind varied from fully maxed, overpowered to slightly underpowered (wind occaisionally dissappeared for 5min before coming back). Powered up probably 90-95% of the time. Got some great waves. 3/4 mast high sets with the occaisional mast high monster. Inside section was breaking occaisionally also with 1/2 mast waves. I think it could have been a bit better if the tide was a little bit lower.

First time I sailed Lano (after waiting 3 months for my wave gear) and it was great. Had plenty of power on my 5.8 and 78l wave and really enjoyed it! It was a bit onshore but still a lot of fun.

Lano was really good sunday, didnt look much when I first got there. ut the wind filled in and I was overpowered on a 6.2 (im 100kg). Nice waves as well, pity there was a bit of snaking going on.

Is it possible to be partially punked?

Had a great day at Lano on Saturday, Feb 7 (really reminded me how useless I am in waves)
only to have a complete lack of wind on Sunday. (the missus loved the "quality time" tho )

actually a great weekend allround

I doubt you would have seen me Greenster.
I assume you were at South Passage, I was just friggin around on the shoulder at Main Break.
The board I had was too much to handle as the arvo went on, need to get something a bit smaller for these high wind days.

Did anyone hear what the story was with that kiter dude?
saw him being carted off in an ambulance as I was sitting down for dinner.
