Hello! I'm flying to Perth from the UK this weekend to spend the summer wave sailing and learning to kitesurf in wa. I'll be borrowing a big ute for a while, is there anyone willing to show me around some spots or maybe tag allong? Also, I'm buying windsurf gear over there so if anyone knows of anyone selling their wave quiver? Sails like 4.2, 4.7 and 5.3 or similar and an 80lt board? Cheers! Jake

Hi Jake, sounds like a nice trip, and there should be plenty of wind during this period here in WA.

For the windsurf gear you have a few options that I could think of:

1) Buy&Sell section here in Seabreeze

2) Any of the Perth's windsurfing shops. They're all very friendly and have a good range of second-hand gear available in their websites:
www.windsurfingperth.com.au/
www.windforce.com.au/web/
www.2ndwind.com.au/

I may have forgotten some other options, but I'm sure you'll get more responses

We hope to see you windsurfing the WA coast soon!

There is also Gumtree where you might find bits and bobs. Although i do see some people asking for some big $ for stuff that is out dated, but nevertheless have a look there could be something just right for your trip.

Keep an eye on the Free stuff thread, some really decent kit going free, a few years old but perfectly useable. I just gave away my old Evo 70l and a bunch of wave sails all in good nick so check it out. Some bargains on the buy/sell section on Seabreeze too. Also check out the windsurf shops for 2nd hand gear, 2nd wind, Windsurfing Perth, Windforce. Send me a PM when you arrive and I'll let you know when go sailing and you can tag alone, usually Lano, Wedge, Greenhead, Margs.

Hey Jake.
How did you go at Lancelin on Saturday? Was a pretty windy day to be introduced to it! Like I said, better when the wind is out of the SW but it was fun riding those swells South of Eddies Island. I was the bloke with the dog.
Cheers Quentin

Yeah, off back beach. Big rolling swells, super smooth in between waves but with that direction not really wave riding!
