dates are locked and loaded for some more slalom racing this season
hope you can all make it to round 1 of the WA slalom series starting on 21.11.15
for further details go to:https://windsurfingwa.tidyclub.com/public/events
Just a quick update, we had to move the Green Head wave and slalom event to the weekend of 12-13th December so Stu is busy trying to rearrange the Safety Bay Slalom event originally planed for that weekend for another day. We'll update in all the usual places once we have some confirmation.
Ok everyone.
Safety Bay yacht club is ok with the change of dates.
So the slalom series will now be as follows:
Round 1 - Safety Bay - 21.1.15
Round 2 - Safety Bay - 05.12.15
Round 3 - Green heads - 12.12.15
Round 4 - Safety Bay - 02.01.16
Round 5 - Safety Bay - 13.02.16
Unfortuneately i won't be able to make the round 2 event due to work commitments. Though now i can finally get to the greenhead event ![]()
If anyone out there can assist with the set up and running of round 2 would be great.
If you need some tips PM me or come to Round 1 and i can show you there's not much to it.
Just a reminder to all.
Tickets are now available for the Slalom series at WWA website.
There's still availability to sponsor the event if anyone's looking to promote their business or help support the Windsurfing community.
I'm also looking for help on the day for scoring/race communications so i can get a sail in
and help to run the event on 5th of December as i'll be at work.
Anyone's partners or injured sailors out there ??
Good Luck to everyone attending the King of Carnac this weekend.
Reminder to all to get your tickets and memberships paid up before racing begins.
I'd also like to encourage anyone thinking of attending the racing at Safety Bay to join the Yacht Club as a social member for 2015/16 season.
At $40 that's only $10 a race and shows support to a small family orientated club that's showing support to the Windsurfing Community.

Also remember the SBWC expo on Sunday too.
Should be lots of nice shiny new gear to check out.
Hi all.
1 Week to go until the WA Slalom series begins in earnest.
After the disappointing winds for The King of Carnac lets hope it turns around for next weekend.
Looking at the long range forecast it's not looking flash for a sea breeze.
We do have a contingency to run AM racing in the Easterlies.
SBYC are happy to volunteer their time to host racing either AM or PM.
If we get in early enough we should be able to complete 4 heats and a final before the wind dies.
Stay tuned to SB, windsurfingwa.tidyclub.com and FB for further updates.
