Anyone using a trailer for their gear around Perth? Can you park at most (or any!) spots with one? Just moved over here and trying to decide on a car; wagon, van or hatch+trailer.
Hatch and trailer works fine almost everywhere for windsurfing spots - I use roof-racks for SUP / surf spots. Good luck and welcome to Perth.
I've had a lot of dramas trying to back in at Dutchies, and lack of room at Scarbs on a good day. Metts is no chance.
Get a van if it is a option I reckon
There are often people with trailers at Melville and Pelican Point, though even with a car only parking at Peli can be difficult.
Thanks for the welcomes and and advice
not sure it's helping though, still torn between what I want versus what I need
will be working about 5 mins from Pelican Pt so probably end up with a boring wagon.
Hi Squiddy- ever worn a GPS ? interested in how fast you are really going ? think you have a windsurfing addiction?
if you answered YES to any of the above, join the GPS Team Challenge, and the Windsurfing Association of WA!
(tell them " the force is strong in me and Obi one sent me!")
Welcome to Windy town!
Have just arrived in Perth, and having had the same issues I eventually decided that the logical set of wheels would be a VZ Commodore Wagon for around town / after work sessions, plus a trailer for road trips.
However, logic has nothing to do with the final decision, so keep an eye out for a yellow VW Kombi panel van at Peli and Dutchies...
