The dredge now seems to be dumping sand into the Leighton area (they seem to have finished filling up the land reclamation at Rous Head). Completely ruined the swell at Leighton. Just about reached Cottesloe now......

While I am all for progress, and acknowledge my livelihood to it, there seems to be a looming collateral damage for us windsurfers and SUPers on the south side (and maybe even kite surfers). But then again, maybe the winter storms will sort it out?

And is it just me, or have others come back from a session down at Cottesloe itching like crazy?

take a sample to some lab. itching could be caused by acid in sediment. itd probably be very diluted but if you are in the plume then who knows?
the abc had a docco on water tables a little bit ago and the creeks were literally the same as battery acid. scary stuff.
