Had to start a new thread as the old one hadn't been used for a while.

I have noticed that the Pinnas have got stickers, and I have to say I like 'em!

Do we want stickers too? I can get my sail number guy onto it if most of us are keen.

Team rashies would also be good I reckon - makes it easy to spot other SRM on the water.

Before you do, bear in mind that stickers are going to be the GTC money-spinner for this year... Want to help me organise this?

Chris we (Pinnas)maybe jumped the gun with sail stickers Think Hardie and Nebbian are working on stickers via the GPSTC to raise a few $'s PM one of them to see if they still thinking this way.
Your idea of Rashie, have to say a bloody good idea Easy to spot on the water
So next is do we go team colours (think its been raised before)

That's cool Nebs - I was only thinking today that the whole GTC has been such a boost for windsurfing and it's all free.

You are indeed a genius!

OK, well if you are doing the stickers then count me in, and you should look at doing rashies too. T-shirts are fine, but a rashy is something we can wear when we are actually sailing so it will turn up in all the pictures and vids too.

I reckon team colours are a great idea (can we be blue?). What better than to spot a member of an opposing team out on the water - readily identifiable by their rashie in team colours, and then attempt to blast past them!

Regarding the stickers, I am sure I can cut us all a deal with the guy who did my sail numbers, and they are really easy to take on and off too.

I know he has a few records but I didn't know he needed a whole shop to put them in!

Ado, love the rashie idea ! I think it would be a great way to identify team and opposition members on the water - instead of "is that Claude out there on the Code Red?".
Whether this is organised thru the guys or by each team, i'd happily pay something to get something nice made up. Agree it would be nice to stick with the blue/yellow theme that we have for the shirts. JC

I think it's a great idea, cost will be the only issue, to make separate small runs for each team will make it relatively expensive, which make exclude some? but on the other hand it's all been pretty much free so far, so may be a small investment??

A small but definitely worthwhile investment Hardie-The-Snail (your words, not mine)!

It's probably more of a WA thing, as we have multiple teams often sailing in the same place at the same time. Can't you imagine that as, say, an SRM member in your blue rashie, you spot a red vest in the distance, you go "That's a Southsider!!"...and you immediately give chase so you can mow them down! ARRRGGHHH!!!

Being able to identify the enemy - that's what I call fun!

Everyone in South Aus will have the same colour rashie
Same as up my way I guess

I'm keen on the sail stickers Nebs

I see while in Burrum all the MBM had car stickers, great Idea and looked great, I'm going to sort that out for the FNQM So what about GTC car stickers also
We (FNQ) already have team t-shirts which look the goods if I do say myself and while at the Burrum presentation it wasn't hart to work out who we were

Well it...ahem...certainly beats purple

Regarding the rashies, I was thinking more of a light blue, as dark blue would be indistinguishable from black at any sort of distance.

With winter coming on, we may be open to kiters questioning why we are wearing rashies over wetsuits, but the beauty of it is, we don't care!

sounds good ado!i agree about the queer purple colour..not that theres anything wrong with that..
i would find 1 of those wetsuit rashy thingys better..what are they called?
rashys are nothing more than very efficient evaporative cooling-clothing
what about stickers?

You guys could change your name to the "Gay River Mob" and just wear a pair of team coloured boardies over your wetsuits

ha jealousy is a curse!
and there goes your invite to join the SRM
as a matter of fact i allways use to wear boardies over a wetty.. when dinghy sailing ! in fact its common place for dinghy sailors to do it...good for protecting the wetsuit from getting ripped up on deck hardware like cleats etc...
as for the reason kiters do it...definetly a fence jumping issue...not that theres anything wrong with that...

and the MM could get a cod piece made up for the distinct lack of volume south of the border... but then the boardies might cover that up...

whoever thought up the colour scheme for the dockers deserves a medal of some sort.. i mean whoever had the genius to mix purple, green AND red! what a genius.. i love it how the word Genius gets such high rotation in the football commentary - there phar-kin footballers for gods-sake!

anyways, i think that we should avoid at all costs any resemblance to an GAY-FL teams cos i cant stand phag-ballers....except when there forced to publicly apologize for their typical footballer behaviour 's
