Have you ever wished there were more windsurfing events on the river?

The closing date for permits is fast approaching so please contact WWA with your ideas so a permit application can be submitted. For details on the permitting system for the river go to the link below

The downwinder from Point Walter to Pelican Point is sadly missed.

It was a great event and much loved by many.

The far away outside pole closest to Melville should be the first mark. Then place a buoy close to the entrance to the Marina like the last time, then across around the large pole at the other side near the point, then finish at Pelican Point.

P.S------placing a buoy is a bit of a hassle. What about missing this leg out,so a big downwind run from the first mark.

You then choose where to gybe before heading to the second pole at the Point.

Going from experience Peter, running the event in conjunction with an established yacht club takes a lot of the logistic hassles out of organizing an event.
If you're that passionate about getting the event running again, maybe you should talk with the Nedlands Yacht club and WWA about hosting it.
