I thought conditions were awesome today with cross wind & head to logo high waves.

Best sail of the year & more fun than coronation.

Did anyone else enjoy? About 15 were out.

What a day to start the new year.GERALDTON WENT OFF , Well thats if you didnt do a fevola.............get smashed and locked up.

had 2 sessions ........1st at secrets in the morning early arvo for some glassy mast high cross offshore bombs which eventually bit back when my out haul rope let go(snapped) on the take off of a medium 6 footer, i was spared going over the falls, i pulled all the old rope out ,,, tied a figure 8 at the end and re threaded it ,with the clue into the wind ,hoping a mast high bomb would spear me ,,,,got it all back together to looked ovr my shoulder to see the dragon about to spit its fire on my head ....i pushed the rig deep as it would go before impact and dived deep ..........saw it all come up everything looked pritty good but after the swim the carbon mast base was in half ,,,,,the body drag began as i swam to the groyne ...picked my rock ledge surged vertically and as the dragon bile retreated i found my self sitting high and dry, to scramble up and clear of the next fire breathing dragon surge.

Check your ropes ......have enough lenght to re use it
Big boards in surf will smash extentions .......SAVED ME MAST AND BOOM AND SAIL
Im thinking if i just threaded it once and locked it off and got out of there and re did it in the channel it could of saved me being smashed .....then on the other hand ......thats debateable ......at least it was all back to gether for impact.

Went back to SUNSET,, late arvo for the (no crowd) 100m
down the line SESSION through the pipe ...........it was also MAGIC

Ps Top day of swell

The only one i can answer is Greenhead - its a town between Leeman and Jurien Bay.

People dont like to share their secret spots on the internet.

I reckon new years eve was the best sail ive had ever. i went out on melvile water (apple cross foreshore), then surfed the wake of a captain cook ferry up to point walter. After mucking around for a while i waited at edge of the spit for big boats to go around it and blasted in a direct reach right at the wake of the boats. Got the highest air's of my life
