Good one guys! Count me in - it's great to see some more events like this. I hope there is a big show of support to encourage more!
I am there with bells on. Great to see racing on a saturday. It makes it easy for people that dont live in perth to participate![]()
Just looking at the forecast which looks sort-of OK...is there a wind minimum or are we running in whatever we get? Looks like more wind later in the day
Read my mind Ado...I haven't got anything bigger than a 7.5 and can't plane in much less than 16-17K.
Hopefully we get at least 18-23K.
If it is light we do have options and we have a heap of prizes.
The wind has been so changable recently that we will only know as the day rolls on.
Wednesday just gone, I thought early afternoon that the Pelican Point Series would not have gone ahead and at 6.00pm it was blowing hard.
So come on down at 11am for registration, Stockland have put a lot into this event, as have the organisers (thanks Bjorn and others), so please show your support.
Thanks,
Ian.
Not sure about pins, but it's at the north end of Catherine Point Reserve on your map, which is the southern end of Marine Terrace.
See you there. BTW, registration is supposed to be at 11, but that's not much chance of wind until later so do we really have to be there that early??
Slowest GPS session ever!
SUP and sail racing at South beach. Great to see so many crew up for racing.
Thanks to all the organisers for running a great event despite the conditions.
Sorry I was not able to stay to the end.
It's the South Beach monster!!!!!
You would have thought they would have seen it from the helicopter and got everybody out of the water.
Great event guys!!
Big thanks to the organizers. Sailing the SUP boards was heaps of fun.
BTW I put a pin-to-cup converter on one of the UJ's and didn't get it back. If anyone has it please PM me.
Any results? Went down and had a look and was pretty good show considering the lack of wind. Well done.
