i know its early in the season but I am tired of sitting on the beach. Sail the swan river only and decided to get an ultrasonic to get more time on the water ie those days under 15 knots and maybe even some easterlies. I guess I should have asked before I placed the order but as always was impatient. Tell me what you think especially if you you have one or know someone who has. Mine will be a 2014 wood.
There is a French sailor who has a Gaastra Formula board and Severne sail around 10m size who regularly sails the Swan in next to no wind.
Steve Stratfold is the only other one who regularly sails a Formula type board like the Ultrasonic is.
Had a go of it with his 9.8m NP sail ---- but not for me!
On the Starboard forum the Ultrasonic gets great comments.
A stiff 60-70 carbon fin a must. G10 fins on boards this size not the best.
