A few mates and myself had planned on going to lancelin this weekend but the forecast looks terrible,
Does anyone with lots of lano experience reckon it might come good or should i not bother and actually get around to changing the front engine seal in my van![]()
i live in bunbury so its not a short drive.
cheers
hmmmm high tides in the arvo on a 1.7 rotto swell....
i'd be umming and arring and i'm only an hour away.
theres somewhere closer thats probably better.
I'm going, but i'm also taking my girlfriend, the wave ski and half a dozen movies, just in case the wind doesn't work out.
the grog's already up there, waiting for us.

mind u looks like all of WA scored yesterday
Was awesome day.
As the weather predictors said, Saturday was good the the surfing, so we bummed around the house and watched movies all day.
Sunday, oh man, Sunday. I was out all afternoon. Until during one little chop hopping jump, my feet slipped out of the straps and I crashed out into the rig. My left foot landed on something, possibly the mast base and sliced a big flap of skin open on the ball. Nothing a bit of gaffa could't fix anyway. The wind had backed off quite some by that point, so I wasn't too disappointed.
Had a great day Sunday up until the point my sail exploded. Big thanks to the guy who came over to see if i was ok whilst I was derigging it to swim in!
Seabreeze... the trough is supposed to move inland on Monday a.m quite rapidly.
I still think a bit farther north like cervantes to gero are would be the tip but Lancelin should be OK tomorrow
IMHO
nar i wouldnt bother, tomorrow is going to crap out. it will be same as today.... stay at home spend time with fam .
Yeah. I saw a bit of gear getting ferried to the beach, and one dude swimming.
I was standing on the shore as a euro was trying to get in with a broken sail in tow. He was yelling in europeanese at his female partner(?) standing on the shore who didn't seem to know how to help him. So I started to wade out to give him a hand, only to be ignored while he continued to bark instructions to his partner. A small, "nah I'm fine thankyou" would not have gone amiss.
what a sesh 5m - 5.7m - 5m then 4.2 for thge rest of the daY ![]()
nathan got a birds eye view of the 'said gear' gear going over the falls a couple of times,
mind you he did do the twinkletoed hell reef walk as well
all good to see some helpful windsurfers helping one another out in such conditions.
gazza, cooked up halftime hotdogs on his porta-bbq - then we straight back out...............nice dogs, BUT never again .....wretch, SPEW, wretch, gurgle ......BELCH![]()
I've learnt the hard way, twice (slow learner) about the pitfalls of mixing sausages and windsurfing ![]()
